The most present segment among the townships of Catalonia corresponds at the smallest townships, the of less of 500 inhabitants, 336 at pool. To size that it augments the magnitude of the township the figure goes lowering: 250 townships of among 500 and 1.999 inhabitants, 128 among 2.000 and 4.999 inhabitants, 96 among 5.000 and 24.999 inhabitants, 19 of more of 25.000 inhabitants. Country of contrasts: on the one hand the 336 townships of less of 500 inhabitants suppose more of the 35% of the townships and of the surface of the country, but represent hardly the 1% of his populace. For other part, Barcelona and townships of the metropolitan environment, that mass the 12% of the townships of the country and the 7% of his stretch, sum more of the 64% of the populace. The rural townships, of less of 5.000 inhabitants, occupy ¾ parts of the territory, but only live the 9,2% of the Catalans.
